Summer RUF!!!

First Presbyterian Church is hosting Summer RUF for all Jackson area college students. What is Summer RUF you ask? Well, it runs much like the RUF at your particular school. From 7:00-8:00 on Thursday nights for the months of June and July, college students from the area gather for a time of snacks, singing, and teaching. Each Thursday will feature a different RUF campus minister.

The summer series is entitled "Come Find Out What You Think You Already Know" and is a 9 week series on the "Reformed Vocabulary." In other words, if you have ever heard or used the words justification, sin, or worldview but would struggle to defined them, this is the study for you. Come join us all summer or pop in when you can, we would love to see you. The schedule is below and a link to google maps is attached to each location from First Pres. Don't forget, the first RUF is June 4th and features a kickoff barbeque dinner at 6:30.

Welcome to RUF!  We are Reformed University Fellowship, a community of sinners seeking to know God and to make Him known.  We seek to love Christ and love others.  We attempt to graciously encourage one another not to be conformed to this world, but rather to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  

Do not be mislead!  We are sinners.  Yes, we are striving after God's call to and example of holiness.  Yet, we understand that indwelling sin yet remains with us.  If you are a sinner, and not afraid to enter into meaningful and life-changing relationships, then come...join us!


Have A Fruitful Summer!!!

This Summer will find you in many places doing many things.  But, no matter what you find yourself doing, may you tenaciously carve out time daily for Jesus Christ.  May you uncompromisingly set aside time to be in His Word and before His Throne in prayer.  May you be renewed and refreshed in your love for and commitment to Christ Jesus.  And when you read God's Word each day, may you not simply read it, but may you mediate upon it!  Oh, whatever else this summer may have in store for us, may we find ourselves renewed in our minds to the glory of Christ!


Remember Joshua, "Only be storng and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you.  Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.  This Book of the Law (the Bible) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall mediatate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success" (Joshua 1:7-8; emphasis mine).
