Small Groups![]() Join us this semester for a Small Group. We structure our small groups to be between 3-15 people. The goal for small groups is NOT to become a large group. The goal is to be a place where you will really get to know other students, really allow them to get to know you, and open yourself to others. Here, we seek to be transparent with the sins that we are struggling with, with our failures, with our doubts, with our fears, with our anger, with our apathy. It is VITALLY important that we begin to see the Christian life, not simply as 'me and Jesus'. That is Satan's greatest tactic to nullify our impact on society and to hinder our growth in grace. WE NEED EACH OTHER. PERIOD. And we need to be real. We often deceive ourselves, and it is an amazing grace to have a friend to speak God's truth into our lives when we are (consciously or unconsciously) clinging to our sin.Servant LeadershipThis will be a study on what it means to minister to people. We will reflect on how to love and serve others in the Church. We will investigate what it means to really come along someone in the Christian life...what it really means to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.Specifics...Mondays beginning September 8thMeeting Room B of the BC Roger's Student CenterBegins at 4:00pmPrayerEver wondered why Christians should pray? Ever gotten the 'sweaty palm' if you were asked to pray in public? Ever wished you had a deeper intimacy with God? Then this is the study for you! We will meet on Thursdays at 8:00pm beginning September 4th. The general format will be as follows: we'll will take some time to reflect on God's Word, we'll take some time to reflect on the needs of the Church, ourselves, and all those around us, and then we'll pray together...out loud!!! They don't have to be flowery in their elegance (in fact we'd prefer they not be!), just a sincere laying up of our hearts to the Lord.Specifics...Mondays beginning September 8thNew Women's East 409Begins at 8:30pmFreshmen StudyThis will be the place for incoming Freshmen.
